Behind the Stories

There is a crazy, unquantifiable amount of “stuff” that goes into creating a story. And it’s nearly impossible to define what exactly makes up the “stuff.” From research in to places and settings, to character analysis, to name definitions, to accidental discoveries, to all the scenes and dialogue that was written only to be deleted when a better scene or dialogue did the trick, and more. And that’s what you’ll find here…a little bit of everything in case you ever wanted to know. (Much of this is an on-going kind of thing and many of the pages are still being built. So come back often and see if there’s anything new.)

Show Up Dead, is the first in a planned series of mysteries that take place in Philadelphia, PA and feature Peri Milano (and her cousin, Mel).

By the way, the series will be called “The Adventures of Peri Milano (and Mel).

Revenge Cafe, is another first of a planned series. This one features Mandy Breen, an ex-reporter with a refined palate, who moves to the beautiful island of St. Thomas USVI to pursue her dream of owning a restaurant.

Mandy is just one member of an unusual family who will be showing up in many of the books and who may even have a book or two of their own. Stay tuned for the family tree.

Lucy McCool is the star of Hitting the Sauce, where Angie McCool plays a side character. There’s a pun in the book that spun a few short stories about Angie. You can see what I mean here.
